The Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura Janmasthān Temple Project, a humble yet monumental offering to our ācāryas, is being undertaken in Bir Nagar, the sacred birthplace of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura. This project, envisioned by our Founder-Ācārya His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, is dedicated to glorifying the life, teachings, and legacy of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, the pioneer of the modern bhakti movement.
The project will begin with a temple shrine honoring Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura and, in its fully developed stage, will expand into a grand spiritual and cultural complex.
- A majestic temple dedicated to Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura.
- A library and research center preserving his vast writings and philosophical works.
- Teaching facilities to educate and inspire devotees in the science of bhakti-yoga.
- Guest House for devotees and visiting pilgrims who wish to immerse themselves in devotional training.
- A museum with dioramas and exhibits, depicting the divine life, vision, and contributions of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura.
- A serene garden and meditation spaces, offering a peaceful environment for reflection and devotion.
Currently, much of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura’s glory is remembered only through books and scattered references. With this project, we aim to create a central sacred hub at his divine birthplace, where devotees and pilgrims from all over the world can come to honor him, study his writings, and draw inspiration from his life.
This temple and cultural center will serve as a beacon of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, carrying forward the vision of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura to enlighten the world with pure devotion. Generations to come will be able to visit Bir Nagar, witness his glories, and experience the transformative power of his mission.
